About
March 25, 1984 I marry Angela Maria Paolone. While born in Australia she is obviously Italian – and that makes me an IBM – Italian By Marriage.
Angela’s familiy’s home town is Villa Olivetti in Abruzzi. Near Pescara for those of you who will look up Google Maps.
It has long been our desire to go to Villa Olivetti and have a good look around. Not as tourists but as much as locals as we can be. I have read “Vroom with a View” by Peter Moore and “Italy? It seemed like a good idea at the time” by Simon Capp.
But what I want to know is “how?” How do you do it? What are the barriers, what is the process of getting to Italy and living there?
A holiday is easy.
To live and work is different.
This, hopefully, will be the key to the journey.
Stay tuned!

Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in Abruzzo. Do you have some specifics?
